Appointed by Hulls Pete Smurthwaite after Christmas in 2006 to take the club onward and upward. Began his career at Blackpool, featuring in over 70 games, before a move to Halifax Town where he spent 10 seasons and amassed over 200 appearances. Moved on to skipper Harrogate Town and Wakefield, from where he left to join Town. Still only 33 years old, and one of the best centre-backs around at this level. During his boys club days Paul played at Cramlington Juniors.
