On Thursday evening our under 15's made the journey up the road to Ashington, to play at the home of Ashington FC in the NE Divisional Cup Final against Blyth Spartans.
With injuries and players cup tied, it left the team selection to 12 players, from a squad of 17.
After having much of the possession and playing some great football, the team were awarded a penalty in the first half, that Macca's slotted away with a cool head.
"nd half and the boys were starting to move the ball around well, after some early pressure and determination from the Blyth Spartans players. Following a tactical substitution and a slight knock to Macca's, he found himself in the box and cooly chested the ball down from a cross and swivelled to hit the ball into the bottom corner.
All in all, every single player played their part in the win and played as a "Team".
Well done boys and a great result at the end of a challenging season.
