Redcar “Corus” Cup Tournament 2010

Cramlington Juniors Under 16 Girls claimed a further cup in the Redcar Corus Cup tournament, playing six, winning six, finishing top of their group, in the Quarter final, beating Middlesbourgh 2-1, semi final, 2-0 winners over Norton & Stocksfield. 

In the final, facing California Girl’s, who have not lost a game all last season, Cramlington took the lead with a long range finish from Katy Stark, California replied on the stroke of half time, second half, Cramlington found the back of the net for a second goal, a free kick for California brought the score line back level at 2-2 at full time.

Cramlington sealed the win in the penalty shoot out, after California had to score their last penalty, Cramlingtons keeper Louisa Paxton safe hands, pulled yet another outstanding save, that confirmed the win
